Marvel Netflix actors will reportedly keep their roles, but they won't be the same

As the MCU was kicking off, Marvel Netflix shows expanded the universe even further than the movies. Starting with Daredevil, these TV adaptations of Marvel's street-level comic book heroes are, for the most part, great. Except for you, Iron Fist. You were awful.

The Marvel Netflix shows are (mostly) fantastic portrayals of iconic comic characters. It helps that everyone benefited from phenomenal casting. Charlie Cox was Daredevil, Jon Bernthal as Punisher, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones are perfect! They're so perfect that Disney are looking to keep most of them on.

Marvel Netflix actors in the MCU

According to known reliable leakers on That Hashtag Show, via CBM, since Marvel Netflix actors are returning. Following the cancellation of the Netflix shows, most of the leading actors are rumoured to stay in their roles.

However, the leakers claim that that Disney will not be continuing the Netflix storylines. Instead, the actors will play the characters again but with a new slate. Charlie Cox's Daredevil will reportedly return in Spider-Man: Far From Home; Jon Bernthal and Krysten Ritter will reportedly appear in a Disney+ show. Even Vincent D'Onofrio is reportedly returning as Kingpin.

Not every actor will keep their roles. Mike Colter and Finn Jones – Luke Cage and Iron Fist – will allegedly be replaced. It's a shame as Colter's performance as Cage was just as perfect as Cox's Daredevil.

What's next for Marvel TV?

Disney's original plans for Marvel TV are dead. The Netflix Marvel deal is over and closed and other in-house shows like Agents of Shield have been wrapped up. Instead, Marvel Studios is handling everything themselves.

We've already seen WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier. While only two shows in, Disney is looking to be on top of moving Marvel to Disney+. Of course, this is just the start of expanding the MCU, and there are bound to be blunders along the way.

Following the release of Falcon and the Winter Soldier's finale tomorrow, Loki will take the stage. After that, Disney will release Hawkeye. There's a lot of Marvel content coming.
