Loki will impact the MCU far more than previous shows, says Feige

The escape of Loki during Avengers: Endgame was an obvious set up for more adventures with the deceased frost troll. Following the release of the final Avengers movie, Marvel revealed that the trickster god would be receiving their own Disney Plus show.

With that said, fans haven't really expected much of Loki. With the character in another timeline from our mainline heroes, the show wasn't expected to have much of an impact on the main MCU. However, the truth is the complete opposite.

Kevin Feige reveals Loki is the most important MCU show

In an interview with Empire, Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige explained that this is the most important MCU show yet. Compared to WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier, this show will have a large impact on the future.

When asked how important the show is, Kevin Feige said:

“It’s tremendously important. It perhaps will have more impact on the MCU than any of the shows thus far. What everybody thought about WandaVision, and was sort of true, and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, which was sort of true, is even more sort of true for Loki."

The Marvel Studios president continued to explain that the company doesn't make shows that don't progress the universe.

“You want to see, after six hours or so, characters change and evolve. We don’t make these shows to not be radical, right?"

What comes after this show?

After Loki, Marvel has multiple new shows in the works that will continue the MCU. Firstly, fans will be treated to What If...?, a show that will explore alternate Marvel universes. After that, Hawkeye, Ms Marvel and Moon Knight are on the way.

If that's not enough, the Phase Four series Secret Invasion, Ironheart, and Armor Wars shows are also being made.
