Daredevil will fight Kingpin again in Marvel’s Echo series

The cancellation of Netflix’s fantastic Daredevil series has been a controversial move in the eyes of fans. While many are excited for the character’s future in the MCU, others are worried that the brutality of the Netflix series will be watered down.

So far, we have yet to see the character battle anyone in the MCU. However, according to new leaks, The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen will once again bare fists against his arch enemy: Kingpin.

Daredevil vs Kingpin

Via The Cine Geek, The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen will appear in more MCU projects very soon. Initially appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Marvel boss Kevin Feige has claimed that fans will be seeing an entire era of Daredevil.

According to reports, the character’s first new MCU appearance is allegedly set to occur in Echo. Taking place after Hawkeye, the Disney Plus series will follow gang leader Maya Lopez on a mission to kill Kingpin.

While the appearance of Kingpin was always essentially confirmed, other characters have not been announced. However, it does look like Daredevil will be a major part of the show.

Long-running Marvel costume designer Stacy Caballero listed work for Echo on her resume. Caballero revealed that she had worked on costumes for Charlie Cox and Vincent D’onofrio. Of course, these are the scores for Kingpin and Daredevil.

The rematch we’ve all been waiting for

If the two Netflix characters do come back for Echo, it seems unlikely that they’ll both be included without a fight. Whether or not the Netflix series events are canon or not, everyone knows of the characters’ rivalry.

Additionally, a two-versus-one fight of Kingpin vs Echo and Daredevil would show just how powerful the villain is. However, would the infamous mob boss win in that scenario?

Marvel Studios has massive plans for its returned Netflix characters. Rumours claim that Kingpin will return as a villain for Spider-Man 4, the next entry in Tom Holland’s movie franchise. Additionally, there are rumblings that claim Jon Bernthal’s Punisher will return.

Marvel’s Netflix characters are not the only new faces coming to the MCU. In the next few years, the MCU will also see the introduction of the X-Men, Fantastic Four and more. It’s a good time to be a Marvel fan.
