Why you might want to think twice before modding your game

This particular mod file has been scanned for viruses and declared 'safe to use' on NexusMods, but still, you might want to think twice before you tinker too much with your copy of Cyberpunk 2077.

We previously reported on the fact that modding your game could give hackers access to your PC. This vulnerability prompted the game's developers, CD Projekt Red, to issue this warning on Twitter:

There is good news, though: a recent patch to the game reportedly fixed those vulnerabilities, so modding should technically be safe again now.

That Nexus Mods link, again, is right here. And while you play, we'll keep on hoping for a Being John Malkovich remake based on Keanu.
