What is the Ukraine Crypto Fund?

For those who are not aware of the Ukraine crypto fund, it is a fund established by the Ukrainian government to fight Russian aggression. As of March 3, it has been estimated that the fund has accumulated more than $54 million worth of cryptocurrencies.

In addition to cryptocurrency donations, the Ukrainian government has also received NFTs, including a highly sought-after CryptoPunk NFT worth over $200,000.

According to Ukraine’s Kuna Exchange founder Michael Chobanian, $14 million worth of the donations had already been used. He told CoinDesk on Tuesday, that the funds have gone to Ukraine's military and special forces to help purchase equipment, food and gas.

The Ukrainian government is also planning to unveil NFTs to support its armed forces. "We will announce NFTs to support Ukrainian Armed Forces soon," vice-prime minister Mykhailo Fedorov said in a tweet.
