How to fix Warzone Error Code 3136 in Call of Duty

Error Code 3136 does have a few suggested fixes to try, in the hope of being able to overcome it. We'd recommend doing things in the following order:

  • A good starting point is to check the Activision Support page for a status update. This will let you know if there are any server related issues. If the servers are experiencing problems, you may need to wait until those are resolved before trying again.
  • Your next step, is to make sure that your version of the game is fully up to date. If you have any pending updates, make sure you download and install them.
  • Next, try restarting your PC or console, and then relaunch the game.
  • You can also try clearing your console cache. To do this, usually all you need to do is turn off your console, and disconnect the power cable. Wait for a few minutes, plug it back in, and power it back up.
  • If there is a server issue, then you might consider using a VPN, to access a server in a different location. Likewise, if you are using a VPN, then try turning this off, and connecting to your local server.
  • Last, but by no means least, is to uninstall and then reinstall the game. This will clear any corrupted game files, and ensure you have the most up-to-date version of the game.

Hopefully these fixes will work for you. But what is this error, and why does it happen? We'll cover everything we know next.
