Hitman 3 is set to launch later this month as the eight Hitman game and the final title in the World of Assassination trilogy.

Can you buy the World of Assassination trilogy?

As of right now, there are no bundles that include Hitman, Hitman 2 and Hitman 3. If you do not own the previous two Hitman titles, you will need to purchase them both separately.

This might be a disappointment to many gamers hoping to jump into the Hitman trilogy after seeing previews for Hitman 3, but there's still hope for the future.

The lack of a World of Assassination trilogy bundle now does not mean IO Interactive will never release such a product. This bundle will likely release further down the line, and could perhaps include some new levels or extras to entice players in.

Should I buy Hitman 1 and 2 separately?

If you don't want to wait for a fabled World of Assassination trilogy to release, you could splash out on Hitman and Hitman 2 prior to Hitman 3's release.

As these games are now four and two years old respectively, they are no longer priced as a brand-new game. Hitman - Game of the Year Edition is currently on sale for just £10.55 on Steam, and Hitman 2- Gold Edition costs £11.24 on Steam at the time of writing.

These games are also similarly priced on Xbox, PlayStation, and the Epic Games Store. It's also likely you may have inadvertently picked up Hitman on PlayStation as it was previously free via PS Plus. Epic Games also has previously given Hitman away for free. Hitman 2 is also currently available on PS Now until the end of January, so we'd suggest jumping in soon if you've subscribed.

If the low prices don't entice you, it's worth noting that Hitman 3 will act as a platform for all previous Hitman games. This means that if you own Hitman or Hitman 2, you will be able to import the levels (and your progress) into the Hitman 3 game, taking advantage of the enhanced performance of the latest title.
