Following a leak that took the web by storm, Dell has officially unveiled the Dell XPS 17 2020 - or the Dell XPS 17 9700 as it turns out to be called!
The laptop was previously unearthed alongside the Dell XPS 15 2020 in a leak reported on by Gadgets 360 and Notebook Check, who noticed a product listing appear (and then promptly disappear) on the Dell France page.

But now that Dell has revealed the Dell XPS 9700 in all its glory, we have official information to update you with!
So, here's what you need to know about the Dell XPS 17 2020.

"After a near 10-year hiatus, the XPS 17 returns as the most powerful XPS laptop ever," an official Dell blog proclaims.
"But it’s not just about muscle, the XPS 17 is also the smallest 17-inch laptop on the planet. The virtually borderless, 4-sided InfinityEdge display makes it smaller than 48% of 15-inch laptops available today, putting the XPS 17 into a class of its own."
So there's a lot of power inside this little machine, and it's sure to be a big hit.

Dell XPS 17 2020 features
Dell's blog adds: "Designed to be the most powerful XPS laptop ever made, the XPS 17 features the latest 10th Gen Intel Core Processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics with Max-Q design.
"Packing this much performance into a laptop of this size requires engineering ingenuity to keep the system performing smoothly. Under the hood, we’ve packed a unique thermal design for increased fan airflow to fuel demanding projects."
Alongside that, it will also have the option for a 4k screen for those who are looking to spend a bit more of their money on a new laptop.

Dell XPS 17 2020 release date
There's no hard release date, but the official product page on the Dell website tells us that the Dell XPS 17 9700 is "coming soon." There's also an option to sign up to be notified when it comes out. If we had to guess an exact release date window, we'd take a random punt on June 2020, but your guess is literally as good as ours.

Dell XPS 17 2020 price
The Dell XPS 17 9700 price hasn't been confirmed yet, so it's time for some guesswork. We'd assume it'll be a bit more expensive than the Dell XPS 15 2020, so you're probably looking at a base price of around £2,000 and a top end of possibly £4,000.
