Right, just putting this out here straight away, do not try this at home.
Don't even think about trying it, just watch the video and be all "that's cool but clearly really dangerous so let's not do it and not burn our house down," okay?
Now that that's out of the way, let's talk about the fact that some people went ahead and built what is effectively a lightsaber.
You know, the whole point of this article.
It's a lightsaber, sort of
Well, it's called a lightsaber according to the people in the video and also the Guinness World Records YouTube Channel.
As you can see, while it might not be powered by crystals or space magic or whatever Star Wars uses, it's still more than powerful enough to make most metals look like they're made out of butter.
Of course, it has to have a constant supply of fuel to work, but it's still pretty cool to see it in action and an impressive feat of engineering to not only get it working in the first place, but also a fun little chemistry experiment with the colour changing.

What's the deal with lightsabers anyway?
Well, according to the wiki "Lightsabers consisted of a plasma blade, powered by a kyber crystal, that was emitted from a usually metal hilt and could be shut off at will. It was a weapon that required skill and training, and was greatly enhanced when used in conjunction with the Force. Though also used by the Sith, the lightsaber was synonymous with the Jedi, with some in the galaxy believing only Jedi could use lightsabers."
It's not the kind of thing most people could use apparently, although there's no real reason as to why that's the case given that it's basically just a glowing sword.
