Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse looks like a great follow-up to Miles Morales’ excellent film debut. This time, the animated Spidey-flick is packed to the brim with cameos, and gamers everywhere have already spotted two video game Peter Parkers — Marvel’s Spider-Man on PS4 and Spider-Man on PS1.
While nostalgia has been a bit overbearing in movies lately, these two characters seem to be background fodder in a story about Miles Morales and Spider-Man 2099. Hopefully, the film gives short voice roles to Yuri Lowenthal (Spider-Man PS4) and Rino Romano (Spider-Man PS1).
Due to all of the fanservice, many are also hoping to see more video game Spider-Men appear in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-verse. There’s already a glutton of alternate versions from the comic books and animated shows, so more video game representation should be fine.
Eagle-eyed viewers who have been watching the trailer were able to spot the video game Spideys fairly quickly. Spider-Man PS4 comes with his new costume in the game, complete with a white spider emblem, which is why many were able to spot him right away.
It took a bit longer to find Spider-Man PS1 as he’s seen in a sequence where a ton of the Spider-characters are charging at Miles. Thanks to fans on Twitter, we’ve been able to spot him and we hope he does a few cool or funny things in the movie.
That’s not the end of these video game variants, as a fan has also spotted Fortnite Spider-Man, or Spider-Man Zero as fans of the shooter call him. No joke, this uniquely armored version of Peter Parker is seen trying to capture Miles Morales at the behest of Spider-Man 2099.

Overall, there seems to be a lot to like about Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. If it’s even half as good as Into the Spider-Verse, it will tower over most of the MCU movies, at least in this writer’s opinion.
