Anyone who wants to know what a pixel tastes like can finally try it, as Cokeās pixel-flavored soda makes its move from metaverse to real-verse. Itās hard to say if this soda will really capture the taste of a pixel, but Coke will certainly try to sell you on that idea.
What does pixel-flavored Coke taste like?
Since nobody knows what a pixel tastes like, the announcement of this Coke flavor has people curious and confused. Oana Vlad, the senior director of strategy for Coca-Cola, tried to describe the taste to CNN back in April but that hasnāt helped matters.

Unsurprisingly, Coca-Cola is hoping that the new pixel flavor appeals to gamers and those invested in the metaverse. When talking up the product, they declared that this is the first soda created in the metaverse. Coca-Cola also explained that the company has always been there for the gaming community.
"For our second expression from Coca-Cola Creations, we wanted to create an innovative taste inspired by the playfulness of pixels, rooted in the experiences that gaming makes possible. Just as pixels power digital connection, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Byte brings people together to share moments of Real Magic.ā

Pixel-flavored Coke is for the gamer
To show how much Coca-Cola loves them metaverse gamers, each can of pixel-flavored Coke comes with an AR mini-game. It seems to be a simple score-based game that will stay on your hand for about two minutes before you decide to throw the can or keep it as a collector.
Fortnite soda drinkers can also make their way to the Coca-Cola Zero Sugar Byte island created in the game. Curious players can input the code that can be found on their website and shoot other players there if they so choose.
Whatās the next ridiculous Coke flavor?
News on the next Coke flavor is slim but the company will be collaborating with DJ Marshmellow on it. The Coca-Cola Creations hub says āthe beat is about to dropā this July, so we canāt wait to try out music-flavored Coke in the near future.
