A Heartbreaking Final Video
In what some fans called "classic Paul fashion", Harrell was prepared when he passed away. He had shot a video in December 2023 which his team were to upload to YouTube in the event of his death.
The video is simply titled “I’m Dead” and shows Paul sitting on a tree trunk and talking directly to his fans.
He shares an update about his deteriorating health and explains how the cancer has spread throughout his bones by this point in the illness. He talks about feeling physically weak and the need for support, emphasizing that he believes his "time has come".

He then strongly discourages viewers from watching his content from pirated sources and warns them against trying to belittle his reputation and legacy after he is gone.
Finally, Harrell thanks fans for their support over the years and, in one of the video's most moving moments, apologizes for having to leave them so early.
Paul Harrell's final video ends with a statement from Brad Nelson, Harrell’s production manager, requesting that fans give his family time to mourn their loss before they focus on continuing his legacy.
