Norman Reedus responds to MCU Ghost Rider rumors

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is currently in the midst of expanding more than it ever has before. As Please 4 continues, MCU watchers will be treated to more obscure characters like America Chavez, Ms Marvel and possibly even Ghost Rider.

While just a rumour, rumblings of an MCU Ghost Rider have been floating around for a while. Multiple directors have been reportedly lined up for the project, including Justice League director Zack Snyder. But who would play the titular Ghost Rider?

Norman Reedus as Ghost Rider?

Via ComicBook, there have been multiple rumours surrounding the face of Ghost Rider in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While many thought Agents of SHIELD actor Gabriel Luna would return for the role, Marvel is allegedly looking for a more famous face.

Fans were overwhelmingly begging Marvel to hire Keanu Reeves for the role. However, insiders claim that Reeves isn't Marvel's top pick, but that fans should still be happy. All signs pointed to Norman Reedus.

The Walking Dead actor has been vocal about wanting to play the character in the past. Additionally, as an actor who’s image has been heavily tied to motorcycle action, the casting rumour makes a lot of sense. But would Marvel go for the obvious pick?

The actor responds

In an interview with ComicBook, Reedus addressed the rampant rumours of his attachment to the Ghost Rider character. However, the actor couldn't say much about the subject, but he did express excitement about the project.

“Fingers crossed," Reedus said. "I don't know. There's been a lot of talk over the last couple years. I do not have an answer for you."

Of course, if Reedus is attached to the project, he wouldn't be able to confirm his involvement. After all, we've just finished countless months of watching Andrew Garfield deny his appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

At this point in time, we don't even know if Ghost Rider is in the works at Marvel Studios. If it is, Reedus would be a good fit. However, no matter who Marvel hires, they'll likely be great in the role.
