Disney Plus’ ongoing slate of content feels almost endless, at least here in the UK. There’s always more coming, but sometimes the service feels overstuffed with Marvel and Star Wars shows releasing on the same day.
Most recently, this happened with Ms. Marvel and Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Marvel and Star Wars shows both released on the same day, fighting each other for attention on Disney Plus. However, those days are coming an end.
Marvel and Star Wars shows will no longer release simultaneously
Following the lower viewership of Ms Marvel on Disney Plus, Disney has decided to not release both a Marvel and a Star Wars show simultaneously. Instead of having both series, which have huge fan overlap, fight each other, they’ll have separate release dates.
In an announcement on Twitter, Disney moved both the release dates for Star Wars’ Andor and Marvel’s She-Hull. The two shows will no longer be releasing on the exact same day.
Instead, Star Wars: Andor episodes will release on Wednesdays. On the other hand, She-Hulk episodes will release every Thursday. So, close together, but not stepping on each other’s toes.
Still, She-Hulk and Andor will be airing around the same times. The two series will be releasing episodes a day apart for four weeks. With this in mind, some people will certainly double dip and watch both back to back.

Too much content?
Of course, one of the reasons why these changes have to be made is due to just how much content Disney puts out. Star Wars releases used to be a huge event, now they’re stumbling onto Disney Plus, bumping other shows for the top spot.
However, it looks like content is being pumped out so quickly that fans are concerned it will overlap with itself. For example, Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 2 may end up releasing during the same period as Andor.
This means that fans will either be rushing to consume content before being spoiled, or Disney will end up delaying content. The studio has already done this with Andor, pushing it out of the way of a packed August release schedule.
