Roblox is a popular online platform that offers your child a wide range of creative opportunities. By implementing parental controls, you can ensure your child has a safe and age-appropriate experience, enhancing your peace of mind.
Rest assured, we'll guide you through the simple steps to set up parental controls on Roblox. This will empower you to monitor your child's activity and ensure their digital experience is safe and age-appropriate.
Understanding Allowed Experiences
Roblox uses an age rating system to assess its experiences. This system helps parents make informed decisions about the content their child can access. For example, some games might contain violence or mature themes. By enabling 'Allowed Experiences,' you can restrict your child's access to content that isn't appropriate for them.
How to Configure Allowed Experiences?
On a Computer
- Log into your Roblox account and click the gear icon at the site's upper right corner to open Settings.
- Next, click on the Parental Controls option.
- Make sure you have a Parental PIN set up to configure this feature.
- Here, under the Allowed Experiences section, select the highest level of experiences you want the account to be able to join.
- Once done, a green message will appear displaying "Saved Successfully!"
On a Mobile Device (Android/iOS)
- Log into your Roblox account using the mobile app.
- Tap the three dots icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select the Settings option.
Note: If your child has enabled Account Restrictions, it will override Allowed Experiences. Account Restrictions are a more general setting that limits the type of content your child can access. At the same time, Allowed Experiences allows you to choose the level of experiences your child can join specifically. You'll need to turn off Account Restrictions first to adjust Allowed Experiences.
