There's no Marvel series that is more entwined with music than Guardians of the Galaxy. Ever since 2014's surprise action-comedy, the beloved Guardians have always been one with the music. Even the team’s introduction in Avengers: Infinity War was matched to music.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will likely involve a fantastic soundtrack. In fact, it would be incredibly weird if this music fell flat for the team’s final outing together. Thankfully, director James Gunn has already finalised the movie’s soundtrack.
Guardians of the Galaxy 3 soundtrack is finished
Revealed in a Twitter post, James Gunn revealed to fans that the soundtrack for the new Guardians film has been completed. A curious fan asked Gunn if the soundtrack was in development. Gunn quickly responded that Guardians' OST is already complete.
“Soundtrack is finished. Movie starts shooting end of year,” Gunn explained to fans on Twitter.
Of course, Gunn didn't reveal anything else about the soundtrack. Not a single track name or even genre was given. With that said, we can at least expect the soundtrack to be engaging enough when the movie releases.

What's next for the Guardians?
Before Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 releases in cinemas, the team will embark on a holiday special adventure. However, before that, the team will have an appearance in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.
The Guardians Holiday Special will take place between Thor: Love and Thunder and Guardians Vol .3. James Gunn's special will debut on Disney+ December, 2022. Guardians Vol. 3 will then release on May 5th, 2023.
Afterwards, Dave Bautista will be leaving his role as Drax the Destroyer. Other members of the Guardians may be around in future MCU instalments.
