The Mandalorian was a fantastic addition to the Star Wars universe when it released back in 2019. After the disappointing release of Rise of Skywalker burned many fans out, the show's second season brought back Mando and Grogu, reviving excitement for the Disney-owned IP.
At the end of The Mandalorian Season 2, Grogu and Din Djarin were separated. However, with the upcoming Book of Boba Fett show acting as Mandalorian 2.5, could the two reunite sooner than expected?
The Book of Boba Fett will have a Grogu scene
According to reliable insiders at Star Wars News Net, the adorable “Baby Yoda” will be returning in The Book of Boba Fett. Sources allegedly close to the show’s production have claimed that merchandise for the character’s show appearance is being prepared.
Additionally, crew outfits for The Book of Boba Fett allegedly feature the little green menace. This isn't uncommon, especially with Disney flicks. For example, Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man was present on production outfits for Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Star Wars News Net isn't alone in their reporting of the character's appearance in the Boba Fett show. Editor-in-Chief of Cinelix, Jordan Maison, has also claimed that the beloved gremlin will have at least one scene in the series.
Furthermore, Grogu won't be alone in his return to Star Wars TV. Maison confirmed that the character will return alongside another, unconfirmed character. He said: “Who he’s hanging with is pretty cool too.”

Who will share the screen with Baby Yoda?
Of course, this comes to the point: who is with our beloved egg-eating monster? Well, there are multiple possibilities for the character’s return into Star Wars TV. Either the “Baby Yoda” scene will continue the story, or it'll be a flashback.
We already know that Pedro Pascal will be returning in the show as Din Djarin. With this in mind, the characters could share the screen in the form of a flashback. This would allow fans to see the dynamic duo together once again.
On the other hand, Grogu's scene/scenes could be with Luke Skywalker. As Skywalker took the character for Jedi training at the end of The Mandalorian Season 2, we could pick up from there. Evidence towards this includes the fact that Lucasfilm hired an expert Luke Skywalker deepfake artist prior to filming.
Whatever happens, it'll simply be nice to see the beloved character return to the screen. Most likely, the appearance will probably be a post-credits tease for The Mandalorian Season 3. Nevertheless, it'll be a fun addition.
