Marvel's Spider-Man No Way Home has been a massive rumour mill for months now. From the alleged return of Toby Maguire to the return of Jamie Foxx's Electro, rumours are flying around. However, one rumour that's been shut down is the return of Dane DeHaan’s Green Goblin.
Dane DeHaan isn't in Spider-Man No Way Home
After months of speculation, Dane DeHaan has explained that he's not in Marvel's upcoming Spider-Man movie. Furthermore, the actor explains that he doesn't even understand how his character’s return would be possible.
On top of being from another version of Spider-Man, DeHaan's portrayal of Green Goblin is incarnated at the end of the film. Rumours also claim that Jamie Foxx's Electro will also return despite the character’s death. However, as Alfred Molina's Doctor Octopus is returning, death doesn't seem to be an issue.
“There’s no truth to those rumours,” DeHaan said via ComicBook. “I don’t even know how that would be pulled off. And I have no idea what they’re doing with the Spider-Man movies now, but I don’t really understand a world in which that would be possible.”

The actor would rather do something new
It’s hard for actors to break out of an established role in a large fandom. While many were unhappy with DeHaan's portrayal of the Green Goblin, it'll still be a landmark role for the actor. However, the actor would rather do other things.
“What's exciting to me is always doing new things, and I'm sure something like that will come along again in my life, and I'm excited to see what it is," the actor said.
Amazing Spider-Man 2 star Andrew Garfield also expressed a similar outlook when asked about his rumoured return. While many believed he would be coming back for No Way Home, Garfield shot down the rumours and explained he doesn't know if he wants to come back.
