CoD Warzone age rating: How old should you be to play Call Of Duty battle royale?

There are a lot of different reasons why a game should or shouldn't be played by certain people.

One of the most boring, but also the most important, is the age rating.

While the younger gamers out there might feel more than ready to deal with everything that goes on in the game, it's not actually up to them to decide on these things.

It can be tough for parents to keep track of though, and understanding the age rating system in gaming isn't as easy as in films nor as well known. So, here's what you need to know about the age rating for Call of Duty: Warzone.

What is the age rating for Call of Duty: Warzone

The age rating for Call of Duty: Warzone, and basically all of the Call of Duty games, is 18.

That means that if you're younger than 18 you really shouldn't be playing the game at all, though we've no doubt that people are doing so (especially as it's free and can be downloaded digitally).

It might seem strange to have the game rated so highly when so many other violent games aren't necessarily the same, but it's important to pay attention to these ratings because they're there for a reason.

Why is this the case?

According to the PEGI site (Pan European Game Information), the reason for this rating is that the game contains violence, bad language, and in-game purchases.

Violence is a factor in nearly every game, but in CoD it's fairly realistic and can be quite brutal as a result.

The bad language thing is entirely depending on your views on swearing, but in our opinion, the in-game purchases are a bigger issue here.

That's because it means players can end up sinking in a lot of money to the game, and it can get out of control quickly if somebody who is younger and doesn't really understand money gets involved.
