Warzone, as veterans will be all too well aware, has its fair share of errors. Many of them happen during the game, but the one we're examining today won't even let you get that far - the Warzone launch error. Specifically, we'll be taking a look at the PC-related issue that gamers are currently experiencing. We'll let you know what the underlying issue is, and what you can do to fix it. You lucky things.
How To Fix The Warzone Launch Issue on Battle.net
You're there on your PC, minding your own business, preparing to launch Warzone, and possibly contemplating your favourite way of dealing out death to your opponents. But the game won't launch. How has this travesty happened? And what can you do about it? Here's what we suggest:
- Start by checking if you have Citrix active on your computer. For some reason, this seems to be behind a large number of the launch issue players ahve been experiencing. So if you do ahve Citrix on your computer, disable the "app protect" function before you try launching the game.
- If that doesn't work, then it's a case of rolling out the classics - restart your PC, check for updates, and make sure you've added battle.net to your approved list on your anti-virus or firewall.
- Some players have taken the drastic step of uninstalling Citrix to overcome the problem.
- You can also try granting the game administrator privileges.
If absolutely nothing seems to be working, try submitting a support ticket or contacting the developers via Twitter. But what more do we know about the launch error?

What Is The Warzone Launch Error?
While many of the issues that players suffer from on Warzone are yet to be acknowledged by Activision, this particular problem has at least made it onto their list of know issues. The problem specifically occurs when players are attempting to launch the game using the Battle.net app. The error actually stops players from launching the game at all.
So why does this happen? Well, given the workaround that we mentioned above, it would suggest a compatibility issue between Citrix and Battle.net. Exactly why this is the case is anyone's guess. Interestingly, this isn't the first time this issue has arisen. It's like getting a visit from an old friend that you don't actually like very much. The first time around, the problem was eventually resolved via a patch. But it looks as though the recent launch of the Pacific map has made it rear its ugly head once more.
