Following the reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War earlier this week and an extended trailer shown off at Gamescom 2020, fans are now turning their attention towards the games multiplayer modes.
Activision has announced it plans to reveal Cold War's multiplayer very soon, on September 9. Not only will this give us further insight into the gameplay aspects of the latest Call of Duty, but it should hopefully reveal more information about the game's upcoming beta.

If you're excited to jump into the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta ahead of the shooter's launch on November 13, here's everything we know.
When is the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Beta?
Activision has not officially announced when the open beta will start, but this hasn't stopped speculation or leaks giving fans an indication of when they'll get to jump into the latest Black Ops instalment. If you 'Know Your History', then you'll probably be able to work out when the beta could begin.
Call of Duty fans first got a taste of the latest title, Modern Warfare, on August 22 through a 2v2 Alpha. The Open Beta then launched on September 12, spanning across two extended weekends ahead of the game's launch on October 25.
If Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War follows the strategy of its predecessor, we'd expect an Alpha test to start around the weekend of September 12, two months before the scheduled launch.
If Activision decides against an Alpha, opting only for a Beta Test, we'd expect this to open around the weekend of Saturday, October 10 for PlayStation players, who Activision has confirmed will have early access to the beta, and the following weekend for PC and Xbox players.
This date looks to be confirmed after CharlieIntel reported on a listing from the Arabic PlayStation Store. When translated, the listing reads that "Early Access for the Open Beta starting October 8 and will be available on PS4 first."

How can I play the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Beta? Is it on PS4, Xbox One or PC?
While Early Access to the Call of Duty beta is usually reserved for those who pre-order the game, Activision has announced it will give away 10,000 beta keys to people who tune into Call of Duty League Championship this weekend.
To be in with a chance of winning a key, viewers need to watch the stream on August 30 via the official website here. Viewers will be prompted to login with their Activision account and choose their preferred platform for a key.
Aside from watching the CDL Championship, those who pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (Digital-only) will gain access to the beta first, which will likely be two days before the open beta opens up for all players.
As mentioned earlier, given PlayStation's relationship with Activision and the Call of Duty franchise, we expect the beta will come to the PS4 first, before opening up to players on the Xbox One and PC a weekend later.
