Bautista says Marvel actors leaving the MCU isn't an issue in the long term

The concept of a cinematic universe is a dangerous one. With so many storylines depending on a collection of actors to work, a lot of planning is needed. However, when one actor decides it’s time to leave their role behind, a lot of potential is taken away. According to Drax actor Dave Bautista, this isn't an issue for a company such as Marvel.

Bautista says Marvel doesn't have an issue with actors leaving

As multiple MCU Phase One actors have left, some are feeling that the Marvel magic is starting to fade away. After over a decade of MCU movies, it's hard for fans to imagine an Avengers movie without those beloved actors in their roles. For example, the next Avengers movie will have no Iron Man, a new Captain America and, presumably, no Hulk.

In an interview with Vulture, Drax actor Dave Bautista explained that Marvel doesn't have to worry about these issues.

"I don’t think it’s a problem, because the Marvel library is so extensive,” the actor said. “They’re gonna have material to draw from for well after I’m dead and gone. I know Disney has purchased Fox, and the X-Men have a whole extensive life ahead of them. That’s going to be a whole new universe. Their library is just too extensive. There’s so much there that they’ll never run out of material or actors or superheroes. When they’re past that, people will look back and just reboot stuff."

The MCU will go on for another decade at least

Marvel's Cinematic Universe is a vast beast that is only going to grow more complex as the years go on. While the first Guardians of the Galaxy showed fans more of the universe back in 2014, the end of Avengers: Endgame has blasted that potential well open.

In the near future, the MCU will be exploring its supernatural elements more thoroughly. Starting with WandaVision, the magical and demonic sides of the universe will start to take center stage. It's an exciting time to be an MCU fan.
