The on-set photographer for Avengers: Endgame has released a number of never-before-seen stills of the movie following the two-year anniversary of its release. The images provide a behind-the-scenes look at the development of the movie, along with the crew who helped bring the movie to life.
We’re typically used to seeing the stars on screen, with numerous post-editing effects added. On-set photography gives viewers a rare glimpse behind the camera. It’s an opportunity to see how the sausage is made, so to speak.
Chuck Zlotnick shared the images of filming behind the scenes on Instagram over the weekend. The film officially turned two back in April, so the photographer is a touch late.
Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo also shared behind-the-scenes images back in April. As did Iron Man star Robert Downey JR.
Behind the scenes
Zlotnick shared two images from behind the scenes of Avengers: Endgame. The first was a picture of Chris Hemsworth in character as Thor, alongside Jeff Haley who is holding a camera.
The second shows Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth alongside one another after travelling back to the Battle of New York.
If you’re a Marvel fan, and you aren’t already following Zlotnick, we’d recommend doing so. The photographer regularly uploads shots from on set, including images of the ongoing Logi Disney+ series.
Avengers: Endgame
Avengers: Endgame released in 2019, and tied up several years of Marvel storylines and marked the end of Phase Four. The movie broke records at the time for the highest-grossing movie, although Avengers lost it shortly after to a Chinese rerun of Avatar.
Marvel is now in its fifth phase, which will include movies based on Black Widow, Spider-man, Thor and The Eternals.
