The last thing you want when you're playing a game of Apex Legends is lag.
This is especially true now that Apex Legends Season 10 is almost upon us. It's a great time to jump into the game, especially if you happen to like the look of Seer, the newest legend to join the quirky cast of characters.
Lag can easily stop you from winning a game or even doing anything at all within one, so you need to know what you can do to fix these annoying issues.
Well, here's what you need to know about Apex Legends lagging.
What causes Apex Legends lag?
Lagging can be caused by a lot of different issues. Despite the fact that lag is generally associated with issues to do with your connection, sometimes you get similar effects from your graphical settings.
Sometimes your PC just can't handle the sheer power you're demanding of it, and that can be for a lot of different reasons.
Of course, sometimes it's nothing to do with your game settings, and everything to do with your internet, or your firewall, or just your router.
No matter what the cause though, it's annoying, so we've put together some fixes for you.

How to stop Apex Legends lagging
The first thing you should do, just in case it's not a connection issue, is to lower your settings in the game. This should help smooth out a lot of issues potentially caused by poor optimisation.
It's worth checking that your drivers are up to date too, as they can often be the cause of these problems.
If both of those are fine, then check your firewall, it could be that it's standing in the way of Apex Legends. After that, it's always worth shutting down anything else using the internet on your PC or in your household.
If that still doesn't work, it's worth resetting your router. Hopefully, one of these will fix the issue for you.
