With Marvel Studios officially announcing a Fantastic Four movie, many fans are curious about who the film’s villain will be. If this insider’s information is correct, it could be Doctor Doom yet again, this time played by Ryan Gosling.
Gosling does make a good fit for Doom if the leak is true since the character used to be handsome. That being said, one has to wonder if Doom has to be the villain of this new movie. Especially since every film about Marvel’s First Family has featured him.
Is Ryan Gosling Doctor Doom?
On Twitter, Den of Nerds tweeted out that Gosling might be Doctor Doom, cheekily saying haters should tell Kevin Feige. Admittedly, it’s far from an official confirmation regarding Fantastic Four, but Den of Nerds has shared some good information before.
Ryan Gosling hasn’t exactly made his MCU desires clear before but the actor could agree if the money is good. It wouldn’t be a bad casting choice, far from it actually, but fans should take the news with a grain of salt.
Nevertheless, there’s been a lot of fans asking for the actor to come to the MCU. With the actor’s fantastic performance in movies like Blade Runner, The Nice Guys and more, Goslin is a strong contender for a fantastic Marvel villain.

Does the MCU’s Fantastic Four need Doctor Doom?
While Doctor Doom is one of Marvel’s most iconic villains, the character has been overused in these Fantastic Four movies. Ever since that canceled movie in the ‘90s, Doom has been the main antagonist in all the terrible FF films.
Granted, the Fantastic Four don’t have the best villains gallery ever but they still have a respectable roster of favorites. Mole Man, Annihilus, Galactus, Impossible Man, hell, they can outright get Namor from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever if they want.
Fantastic Four is currently slated for a theatrical release on November 8, 2024, unless plans are changed. Only time will tell if Doctor Doom will be the villain and if Ryan Gosling plays him.
