Star Wars fans everywhere are waiting for Disney and LucasFilm to announce the release date of The Mandalorian Season 3. While both companies have been silent, it seems that Greef Karga actor Carl Weathers may have revealed the release date.
Prior to Weathers’ tweet, Disney and LucasFilm have been vague by saying it would come out sometime in early 2023. It will be interesting to see if Weathers is correct and jumped the gun, or if he got it wrong.
When is The Mandalorian Season 3 premiere?
According to a tweet from Carl Weathers, The Mandalorian Season 3 might be premiering on Disney+ sometime in February 2023. Thus far, this is the closest we’ve gotten to an actual release date for the show, though it’s not confirmed.
Weathers is a major supporting character in the show, portraying Greef Karga, so if anyone would know it’d be him. Bo-Katan actress Katee Sackhoff also knows how many seasons for the show are currently planned, so they know what’s up.
Of course, this is Star Wars we’re talking about, so last-minute changes could happen when we least expect them to. Granted, Star Wars fans won’t mind a delay if it means that the finished product is going to be good.

What to expect
Fans are very excited to see what happens in The Mandalorian Season 3, especially since it’s more like Season 1. Lead actor Pedro Pascal previously confirmed that a number of plot threads from the first season would be revisited again.
Hopefully, following up on these plot threads pay off and we get some significant development for Din Djarin going forward. If the trailers are anything to go by, he might not be a Mandalorian by the end of the show.
If Carl Weathers is right, The Mandalorian Season 3 will be hitting Disney+ on February 2023.
