Are you tired of TikTok Nows? Luckily, there is a way to turn off TikTok Now.

Many users are finding the TikTok Now feature (a knockoff of BeReal) in the TikTok app quite annoying. They don't want to see TikTok Nows pop up on their For You page while they are auto-scrolling on TikTok, trying to watch normal short videos that interest them.

Can you turn off TikTok Now?

Although TikTok provides a way to turn off TikTok Now notifications, unfortunately, there are no in-app settings that will allow us to get rid of TikTok Nows from our For You page. However, there is a workaround (Android only).

To get rid of TikTok Now, install one of the older versions that doesn't have the TikTok Now feature integrated into it. We know it's not ideal, but it is your only option right now.

We hope that TikTok will introduce a way to turn off TikTok Now content in the future. Or fully remove the feature from the app and provide the feature separately as a standalone app - like they do in other countries.

Until then, you’ll just have to ignore and scroll past the TikTok Nows on your For You page.

How to get rid of TikTok Now?

As we mentioned above, you can get rid of TikTok Now by installing an older version of TikTok. If you are okay with taking desperate steps to turn off TikTok Now, this is your best bet.

TikTok Now was released in September, so you could install one of the versions released in August; version TikTok 25.7.2, for example. You can browse other older versions of TikTok here at APKSFree.com.
