How to make a BeReal account private

By default, your BeReal is private and only visible to your friends. In other words, you don't need to explicitly change any settings to make your BeReal account private.

In case you have made your BeReal public at some point in time and want to revert back to private, these are the steps you need to follow: Just before pressing SEND to post your BeReal, tap Global and change the audience to My friends only to make your BeReal account private again.

And if you want to make a BeReal post private after posting it, simply click on the time your BeReal was sent, tap Options and select Remove from Discovery.

Can you hide your BeReal from a friend?

There may be some instances in which you want to hide your BeReal from a friend. Maybe you don't want a particular friend to see where you are, who you are with or what you are doing.

Whatever your reasons are, currently, there is no option to hide your BeReal from a friend. However, you can either unfriend them or block them on BeReal to prevent them from seeing your BeReal. It isn't ideal, but it's your only option at the moment.
