How To Share Screen In WhatsApp Video Call On Android, iOS And PC

If you’re looking for a way to share your screen in a WhatsApp video call on PC, Android or iPhone, then this post is for you.

WhatsApp is one of the most popular chat apps in the world with more than 1 billion active users. You can communicate with friends, share pics, make audio/video calls and even send money using WhatsApp.

But does the app allow us to share our screen in a WhatsApp video call? If it does, how to do that? That's the topic we're going to cover today. Let's jump into it!

Can You Share Your Screen On WhatsApp Video Call?

If you have used the WhatsApp video call feature, you would be aware there isn't a native screen-sharing function inside the app. But will they add one someday? Well, only time can tell!

The screen sharing feature is most commonly found in video conferencing apps like Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Google Meet, and since WhatsApp is an instant messaging app, not a collaboration tool, it is less likely they would add a screen sharing feature to their app.

However, if WhatsApp were to ever add this feature, it could be very useful for many users who don’t want to go through the hassle of downloading another app to share their screens. But, for now, the only way to share your screen with someone is by using another app like Zoom or Google Meet.

How To Screen Share In Whatsapp Video Call

As mentioned earlier, it is impossible to screen share in WhatsApp video calls right now, but don’t fret! There are plenty of apps that can do the job for you. Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Google Meet are all great apps with the ability to screen share.

If you aren't aware, Messenger Rooms from Facebook allows you to start a chat with up to 50 people, and most importantly, share your screen. So, if you use Facebook Messenger, you don’t need to install Zoom, Google Meet, or any other service to screen share.

Using the Messenger app on your mobile, you can create rooms, and then send invite links to your contacts and group chats in WhatsApp so they can join these rooms, even if they don’t have a Facebook account or the Messenger app.

We hope that WhatsApp will add the screen share feature someday soon, and we will keep you posted as soon as something changes.
