How to connect your AirPods Max

The AirPods Max are the audio headphones released from Apple back in 2020. Similar to the regular AirPods, these new headphones are also wireless and will need pairing with devices to work.

Fortunately, pairing the AirPods Max to a phone is a fairly simple task. The whole process won’t take longer than a few seconds.

As of now, the new wireless headphones also have new features that’s not available in the regular AirPods.

With this in mind, here's how to connect the AirPods Max to your Apple devices.

How to pair AirPods Max

To get started on pairing the AirPods Max, follow these steps:

  1. Proceed to your device’s Home screen
  2. Remove the AirPods Max out of its Smart Case and place it near the device.
  3. Wait for the device to show the setup animation on the screen and the headphones should pair up.

If the AirPods Max fails to pair, it’s best to check the Bluetooth settings if it’s set up properly. Alternatively, pairing the AirPods Max manually is possible when checking the Settings app and looking for the headphones under the Bluetooth settings.

Once paired, the AirPods Max will function similarly to regular AirPods. As long as the battery charge is still good and the device is kept near, the AirPods Max will keep functioning well.

More Features of the AirPods Max

As the AirPods Max are headphones rather than earphones, it does sport better features than the regular AirPods. The AirPods Max has a digital crown which is used to change the volume.

Additionally, the AirPods Max has Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode which works better for its larger earpieces. Along with the pairing system, making these two features work well will need to be checked inside the Settings app.

If the pairing feature still doesn’t work, it would be best to call in at Apple Support either online or on the phone.
