Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends is one of the leading battle royale shooters available to play right now.
Alongside Fortnite and Call of Duty Warzone, you'll be hard pushed to find many other free-to-play shooters with this much support from a top tier AAA studio.
Apex also recently arrived on Nintendo Switch, as the studio looks to bring the game to as many fans as possible.
Understandably then, many first-time Stadia users might be wondering if the game is available on Google Stadia, not least given how many other EA games are available.
Unfortunately, at the time of writing Apex Legends is not available on Google Stadia.
But given the support the studio has shown it and the implementation of crossplay - and the promise of cross-progression in the future - could we see the game arrive on Google Stadia?
Here’s what we know about the Apex Legends release on this platform.
Will Apex Legends come to Stadia in 2021?
As of now, Apex Legends is slowly expanding its reach. The developers have been pushing out updates and already cover most of the core platforms.
The game is currently available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and as mentioned, more recently with Nintendo Switch. Respawn Entertainment has also made the game available for Origin and Steam.
Clearly Respawn and EA are keen to bring Apex Legends to as many platforms as it can.
The recent release on Nintendo Switch and implementation of crossplay is further signs that the developer is open to making the game available as widely as possible.
We know that the developers plan to release Apex Legends on Mobile in the future, so we could potentially see Google Stadia get support for the game too.
Unfortunately, EA and Respawn Entertainment has yet to release an official statement as to whether they would bring the game to Google Stadia.
So for now, seeing Apex Legends on a streaming service like Stadia is something of a pipe dream.
